Between careful brushing your teeth and cautious chewing certain foods, we get it: braces aren’t for everyone. However, Invisalign is an effective and discreet way to straighten your teeth without wires or brackets.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is the most popular orthodontic clear aligner. Teeth are moved in gradual increments with these trays, which place a slight force on the teeth to move the crown (the part of the tooth you see) and the root (the part below the gums). Invisalign has also helped millions of people improve their smile, confidence, and self-image. Many people have even found Invisalign to be a better option than traditional braces.

How Does Invisalign Treatment Work?

One of our OX orthodontists will help you design your treatment using sophisticated 3D planning software. They will then use Invisalign to manufacture your trays to help you move through your treatment. Most Invisalign treatments can be done within a year, but it can range from a low of six months to two years for more complex treatments. Every patient will have their alignment journey based on their individual needs.

Our OX orthodontists also virtually monitor your treatment so you can stay on track and get to your smile destination as soon as possible!

The Cost of Invisalign

Invisalign braces are typically less expensive than traditional braces. The cost of an Invisalign treatment varies by patient, for example, how long treatment last. So, contact us, and we’ll be happy to give you more information on prices!

Trays and Attachments

An Invisalign tray is part of a set of clear aligners. You will receive multiple sets of trays that represent the stages of treatment. Typically, you wear a tray for a week or two before moving to the next one. Starting a new tray can feel tight at first because of the force placed on your crowns, but this means your teeth are moving!

Is there one particularly stubborn tooth? Invisalign attachments help with that! Invisalign attachments are small, tooth-colored materials bonded onto these stubborn teeth to help your aligners grip and guide them into their new position.

Invisalign Care

Like braces and retainers, Invisalign aligners get dirty. Cleaning your aligners regularly is essential to maintain your dental hygiene. Whenever you brush your teeth, get into the habit of cleaning your aligners too. We encourage cleaning them with lukewarm water and soap or soaking your aligners in a dental cleansing agent then brushing them with a toothbrush after.

To prevent mess from building up in your aligners, avoid eating with them in. Also, make sure to brush and floss your teeth before putting your aligners back in after eating. Whenever you take your aligners out to eat, put them into their case to prevent damage or accidentally throwing them away.
