How OX Orthodontix is Celebrating
OX Orthodontix is celebrating National Orthodontic Health Month in several ways- reminding our patients to make good choices at Halloween for their beautiful smiles, educating the community on the positive impact of orthodontic care, and organizing a program to donate candy and dental health items to our local troops through the USO.
Our team enjoys Halloween festivities and a good treat as much as anyone, but there are ways to be conscientious about the choices we make. Choose treats that aren’t sticky, gummy or chewy. Brace-friendly treats are soft and nut free. Peppermint patties, milkshakes and peanut butter cups will keep your braces safe and still let you enjoy the holiday. An even better choice is thin cut apples so that you avoid sugary treats that can lead to cavities. Brushing and flossing after eating sugary treats is critical.
At any age, orthodontics has a positive impact on your overall health and appearance. If you have crowded teeth, braces can improve your ability to keep your teeth clean, reduce periodontal problems and tooth wear. If you experience pain or discomfort from TMJ, orthodontics offers long term relief. For conscientious teens, we are able to straighten teeth without metal wires and brackets. By designing a treatment program matched to your preferences, we give you your smile, your way.
Orthodontics has a positive impact on your confidence; having a great smile leads to professional and social success. The doctors at OX Orthodontix are experts in orthodontic care who have advanced, specialized education and limit our practice to the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. We invite you to visit us for a complimentary consultation to get to know us and learn more about our practice.
After Halloween, we would appreciate your support of our candy buy-back program to benefit the USO. We’ll award our patients with points to use for shopping on Amazon for every bag of candy donated at our offices in Ellicott City and Clarksville, November 2-4. The treats we collect will be delivered to the USO at BWI for troops and their families on November 5. OX Orthodontix will also donate toothbrushes and dental floss to the USO in honor of NOHM.
